2006 Wood Carvers and Quilt Expo
The Blue Earth Area Chamber of Commerce hosted the 23rd Annual Wood
Carvers and Quilt Expo on Friday, August 18 through Sunday, August 20,
2006 in Unity Hall at Blue Earth Area High School in Blue Earth,
Minnesota. The quilt displays included 130 quilts from a host of area
quilters, in addition to vendors and demonstrations. This year's
featured quilter from the area was Mike Ellingsen. There was a
quilt challenge in honor of this year's 23rd anniversary Quilt Expo,
and another for next year's 24th. Dates for Expo 2007 are Friday,
August 17 through Sunday, August 19, 2007.
